Flies!!! How to reduce them coming in the kitchen?

Yes, I know screens are the answer, but when we recently renovated, the window company looked at me sideways at my request to have them!

I tried outdoor fly catcher traps which help. I've got a citronella oil burner, but that is for mosquitoes apparently. Do you have a blue, zappy light thing? Burn some other oil? An auto fly spray machine? HELP.

Watching with interest OP. We keep getting bees in our kitchen and it's a pain catching them and releasing them. Was genuinely looking at getting an old fashioned beaded curtain earlier, but think my DH would think I've lost the plot! 😂

Yes ours seem to fly in and then turn back to leave but then end up not finding the door again bloody idiot things so then I have to open the window for them to repeat the same
actions again.

Again clean and tidy, traps outside and citronella candles.

I’m eyeing up blue zappy light things

If you use sticky traps, be careful that bees don't get trapped as well. We need bees! We put up temporary fly curtains from Amazon last year and they really worked well.
