Why is yellow/pineapple the default flavour in ice lollies?

Just as the title says.

Strawberry is by far the superior flavour so why is the majority of my rocket lolly/fruit pastel lolly pineapple?

Am I the outlier in this? My daughter thinks yellow is cheaper to make, does anyone know if this is true? 😂

Probably, sadly.
I'd love a cherry or blackcurrant lolly, myself. You never see those flavours. 😞

Wonder if I could freeze cherryade? 🤔

Wagamama used to have a really lovely strawberry lolly on their menu. Miss that.

Orange is nicer.

You can get those normally.

I think strawberry always did tend to be a "split" lolly which I wasn't very keen on.

Fab lollies can’t be beaten .. sprinkles, strawberry and the chewy bit at the top. Yum !

All time favourite is banana ice lolly. I've only ever had a couple. Never see them anywhere (and I don't want ice cream). Yummy

The ones in Wagamama were full of real strawberries. I’m sure they got them in and wish I knew who made them.

I do like those creamy ice lollies similar to the old zap ones. Would love to try a banana one as long as it doesn’t taste like antibiotics.

@historyrepeatzI used to love a Zap, I wonder if they still exist. I also liked a feast (I think - the one with chocolate coating, then a layer of ice cream then a centre of chocolate) or a mini milk.
