Office Chair vs Stool, what do you sit on at the desk?

I have a simple lovely IKEA desk and £100 IKEA chair. Never loved it, it’s heavy, I fidget because it spins, and I hate the spider legs. Because we are decorating (long story), I am sat on a basic IKEA stool today and find it really comfy. Maybe cushion seat would be nice, but OK without back support. And I can rest my feet on the floor as spider legs do not get in the way. I will test drive the stool this week. Just wondered what others find comfortable for desk work at home?

In the office I have a spinny chair. In the lab I have a stool. Don't think I'd want to spend all day every day on the stool, but occasionally would be fine. But might be influenced by the fact the bench is high, and so the stool is more barstool height than desk height.

DH has a funky desk that can change heights. He tends to spend the morning sitting on a desk chair, and the afternoon standing.
