Holding my baby for the first time
Meeting my husband and feeling the butterflies
To be a little girl for one day and to hold my mums hand and have a cuddle
To go on another night out in my early 20’s and to be so carefree
To cuddle my little boy on the sofa and watch a film
To walk down the aisle again to see my husband

I seem to have something in my eye…

Being a new mum with my 3 month old DC
Spending Xmas with all the family before they passed away
Perfect family holiday
Moving to a new country and in our new house.

Oh wow OP what a question - the night my now DH stopped walking on a bridge in London kissed me and told me he knew we were going to be something special, the day he proposed, our wedding day and the moment we first saw each other when I walked down the aisle, the births of my babies ( even the labour), my sisters wedding, moving to our ‘forever’ home when the kids were smaller, taking our DC on their first ‘fancy holiday ‘ seeing them so happy on their first day there. Sooo many magical memories thanks for making me think of them , I know I am very fortunate.
( and before I sound like a smug idiot I have had my fair share of awful ones too !)

Seeing DH hold DD2 fir the first time when she was two weeks old and he got home from Afghanistan.

The first time DD1 spoke a line (just five words) in a school play in front of an audience when she 8.

I'd do anything to replay the moment they put DC1 in my arms and the short time afterwards. I don't have a clear memory, I never did, I was in shock from a very fast therefore completely unmedicated labour after a dash to the hospital. I remember the labour, I remember holding her at an hour or so old, but all of those little details from immediately after birth I'd just love to have.

I do have those details with DC2. Equally short and sharp but I was tougher and more prepared by then(!), I'd relive that too.

I'd been on a night out with the friend I really fancied at university and anticipation had been building for a while and certainly had that night. He was walking me back to halls in the rain along a dark towpath and he just stopped and kissed me, and the world stopped too 😍 I've kissed that boy many more times in the million years since then but if I had to choose one to relive it would be that one. I'd relive parts of our wedding day too.

Being with my childhood best friend (from age 7-12) again. We had the most wonderful childhood and I'd love to just have one of our summer days playing in the park again. Totally carefree.
Kissing now DH on our date in London when I was 17.
A Sunday at my grandparents in the 80s or 90s. We used to go every weekend for dinner with the whole family and it was always so fun, especially in the Summer when we would sit outside and play games. I can still see the buffet spread vividly in my imagination. Always the same every week.
Both of my children being born.
One day of my children being primary school age again. They are so grown up now.
So many more.

My ex being told by a judge, in no uncertain terms, to stop mucking me about, that I would be getting MORE than I'd asked for and that he was sure he didn't want our kids to be disadvantaged because of his vendetta against me.

Oh, and the first few days of DC's life - it's all such a horrible blur after a long and drugged up delivery.

Liz Truss being slow-clapped onto the stage to accept losing her seat last June.

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 02/05/2025 11:37

All the newborn cuddles with my children.
My wedding day.

Pricelessadvice · 02/05/2025 11:39

I’d love to experience that feeling on Christmas Eve when I was a child who believed. The magic was just so pure.

And to just be out playing with my best friend when we were two carefree kids with no mobile phones or iPads (early 90s).

Anything, absolutely any moment after meeting DH and before he was diagnosed with the cancer that killed him at 37. 8.5 years without him and today I need him more than ever 😭

NoEffingWay · 02/05/2025 16:31

So many powerful memories
