Can I put privacy screening on to back of a trellis?

I bought a planter trellis, and would like to pot it in an area where our neighbours can see in. I was wondering about putting either wine bamboo or some kind of privacy screening on the back of the actual trellis so it would act as a complete blocker.

Is this silly and would stop the plants growing up it? Would it just look stupid?

You could thread some of those plastic plant/flowers on the top of the trellis while you wait for yours to grow, then you’ll know if just a climbing plant will be enough, or if you need to actually screen it.
