That's it really.

Do you and your significant other have a laugh together?

How ling have you been together? How old are you?

WickWood · 23/04/2025 19:58

Yes, I don't think we'd be together otherwise! We're 30 and 32 and have a 6 month old child together, been together 3 years. We've always laughed ever since our first conversation. There have been moments it's been difficult with a new baby but we make sure we always laugh together. I realise we haven't been together particularly long so who knows, but I do hope it continues!

TwitchyNibbles · 23/04/2025 20:00

Yes, frequently. Together 20+ years, both mid/late forties

frozendaisy · 23/04/2025 20:00

More than once daily - yes all the time wouldn’t have lasted a week otherwise - even facing dark days we can make each other smile
20 ish years together
late 40s

OnlyMabelInTheBuilding · 23/04/2025 20:01

Yes, every day. Together 12 years, married 10. Early/Late forties

MyUmberSeal · 23/04/2025 20:02

19 years, he’s the funniest person I know. We act pathetically stupid with each other and have such a laugh doing it, it’s brilliant.

CherryBlossom321 · 23/04/2025 20:04

Daily. Our relationship would never have survived without it. Early 40’s; together 24 years, married 18. Two teens.

faerietales · 23/04/2025 20:04

God yes, multiple times a day. Been together almost a decade.

LavenderBlue19 · 23/04/2025 20:05

Yes, absolutely - I wouldn't be with someone who I didn't have a laugh with! Been together 20 years, early/mid 40s.

BlondeMummyto1 · 23/04/2025 20:06

30s together 6 years and laugh a lot.

Brunocatmon · 23/04/2025 20:06

This is heartwarming.

What do you laugh about though? Who is the funniest? ( in your opinion )

MidoriNoRingo · 23/04/2025 20:07

He makes me laugh until tears, snot, farts come out the lot. Been together 5 years, married 4.

RabbitsRock · 23/04/2025 20:08

DH can make me laugh to the point of pain - he’s hilarious! We laugh every day & are like a couple of kids at times. Even during the toughest times of our relationship (together 24 years, married nearly 23), we have always found the humour in things. Funny men are sexy!

TheCurious0range · 23/04/2025 20:08

Yes , a lot. Even if we're disagreeing about something often one of us can say something, that will make the other laugh, sometimes it's drying the other person trying not to laugh that sets it off

chattyness · 23/04/2025 20:09

Yes we laugh a lot every day, we've been together 30 years and there's a 10 year age gap, he's 70, I'm 60. We're on the same wavelength, he just gets me 😍

Christwosheds · 23/04/2025 20:09

Yes. A lot. We’ve been together for 28 years.

HundredPercentUnsure · 23/04/2025 20:10

Used to every day, less so nowadays but still sometimes.

18y together
8 married
Two kids 4yo and 2yo
Early 40s

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 23/04/2025 20:10

No. We like to stare wordlessly at each other or watch netflix.

KezzaMucklowe · 23/04/2025 20:13

Yes, lots.
We've been together for 25 years and have dts 14.

MsNevermore · 23/04/2025 20:14

Every single day.

Im not a morning person. Never have been. The mildest things irritate me in the morning……DH has started saying he’s going to record me in the car on the school run, airing my morning gripes and turn it into a stand-up comedy routine 😂 I’ll be griping away, look at him and he’s always smirking. Which inevitably sends me into a fit of giggles.
We send multiple funny Instagram reels to eachother throughout the day, knowing it will make the other laugh.
Sometimes it’s just buggering about at home descends into a fit of giggles from both of us.

I’m 30, he’s 35. 3 DCs.

I'm not sure whether you're being sarcastic or not.

Yes, he is just himself, daft and on completely the same level as me humour wise, our brains go to the same place. In our 50s, together 29 years, 2 children now adults. We do silly things, like I pretend to ride a horse into the kitchen., dismount and tie it up. I moonwalk out of my thermal socks in winter at bedtime and this makes him laugh.

@neverknowinglyunreasonable MN is full of people posting about living in shitty relationships with no conversations and outright contempt in some cases. Some ask about staying for the sake of the children or how to leave abusive partners. It is nice when other people confirm that there are lovely relationships too as most people don't post how great it is as an opener.

ridiculouslyridiculous · 23/04/2025 20:16

Yes. 17 year age gap and we laugh every day because he’s still immature at heart! It works for us.
Together 11 years.

Merrygoround8 · 23/04/2025 20:17

Yes, Together 12 years, mid thirties now, 3 kids.

Oompao · 23/04/2025 20:18

Yes we do, early 30s been together since teenagers. He is definitely the funniest, but I still make him laugh, just over silly things a lot of the time but we have a laugh pretty much every day.

CoastalCalm · 23/04/2025 20:18

Yes every day - he sent me this recently and I couldn’t stop giggling. He’s my best mate
