Can you find out if someone has got married?

As in the title, is there a way to find out if and when someone has just got married?

How easy it would be depends on the area they got married in.

In Scotland for example all record indexes can be viewed on Scotlands people and they don't tend to take too long to update (it varies) so could be found easily.

Other UK records vary in how easy they are to find

Thanks, it would be in the UK. I've tried to look on one or two websites, but they just seem to be about finding Ancestor marriage records.

Have you tried freebmd.org.uk ?
If you have the correct names it should be easy.

The records are not comprehensive for recent years or all areas.
