Hi, just looking to see what people’s experiences are! Dating apps are so common but recently there have been apps invented to make friends and meet new People. Like badoo, bumble BFF specifically. Im wondering if anyone has made friends on these apps specifically for making new friends? How did it go? Are you still friends?
psa- im not talking about meeting in anything like forums, online communities etc for hobbies
thanks x

No. Have tried but it’s never worked out. When we meet up we are completely different people, different lives, different values etc and it just hasn’t worked.

I made real friends on a teaching forum obviously for a while it was online but then we met, lovely!

I tried bumble bff for a few weeks but I didn’t like it, it felt very ‘dating’ like and there was no one actually local to me so every match was in the next city.

I met a Mum friend on the Peanut app and still meet up now 18 months later with both babies at nursery and us back at work. I think it helps if you try to join an app that puts people together that are looking for similar things ie for me it was Mum friends with young babies.
