How soon do you check your lottery ticket?

How long do you leave it before you check if your lottery ticket is a winner? I know some people leave it weeks and are blissfully unaware that they have won millions…

I leave it awhile so I can keep the fantasy of being the winner alive

I do the lottery online and they e mail me when I win, (all of £3)😀

This. Sometimes I delay opening it for all of two mins knowing I've likely won £2.80 😂

Me too, every week I see that you’ve won a prize email and it’s always under £5 🤣

Before I go to work. No chance I'm going in if I'm sitting on a fortune.

I currently have a 'you've won a prize' email in my inbox but can't check it until 6am so obviously for the next 4 1/2 hours I can imagine I am actually a millionaire!
