What kind of lawyer does he need, if any?

DH was born in Malta in the early 1980s but moved to the UK as a toddler with his non British parents and has lived here ever since.

He thinks he can apply for a Maltese passport through birth, but isn’t sure how to go about this. Does he need to consult an immigration lawyer?

Any advice welcome.

My first thought would be to look on the Maltese embassy website and go from there.

This seems to be a fairly useful resource. You shouldn’t need a lawyer for this.
