Liverpool as a student

DC is looking at uni applications.
The course they like has only a couple of options one being Liverpool.
We thought we'd take a trip as we've never been and seems a leap from never going to living there for three years.
But we'd like to visit and look at it and see not just the tourist bits but get a feel for the bits someone living and studying there might experience.
Bit niche but wondered if anyone has any tips

Have a look at Bold Street, the area is popular with students. Have a look around the university campus area and concert square. Maybe also have a look at the main bus terminal at Liverpool One and the train stations.

My DD is currently at Uni at LJMU and she absolutely loves it. Its a great place to be a student. She is currently in halls but has a great house ready for rental for her 2nd year. I have visited her a few times and have had a great time there with her.

Ds1 is sat next to me, he's home from UoL for easter. He bloody loves Liverpool. The uni, the course (cs), his halls (philharmonic), the city. He calls it home!

We love going to visit.

I’ve studied a few places and thought Liverpool was an incredible place to be a student.
