Hi I have an old (probably 15 years ) frost free Samsung fridge freezer it’s been totallly trouble fee until now but last night i took out the bottom drawer and it was frozen in place about 1cm of ice built up clear like ice cube looking. Got all the ice out but I see now it has started again just a very thin sheet for now. There is plenty of air coming out of the vents. Has anyone else had this and is it time for a new one ? Edited to add it is very full at present . Thanks in advance

I had this. I googled the make & model of the fridge to find the instruction manual. It said I needed to unblock the drain hole using the drain-hole unblocking tool. I didn't have that, so I got one from either a spares shop or Amazon - can't remember which. It looked like this and did the trick: https://www.espares.co.uk/product/es594359

Yes, it was in the fridge. It was blocked, so the condensation couldn't drain and was pooling in the bottom.

Use the refill out of a biro to clear the drain
