Easter eggs/treats for people that don't like chocolate!

I have 2 family members that don't eat chocolate. Every Easter I make them up a basket of Haribo but its getting boring now. Has anyone seen anything in the shops that might be better?

Mum gets flowers.
DS1 gets harribo (and I get his chocolate!!)

Sorry, not very imaginative.

Don’t eat chocolate 😮 who are these people?

I know, right?! One of them also doesn't eat cheese 😯

Marzipan? There are lots of marzipan treats without chocolate. Shaped into fruits and veg, for example.

OneRealRosePlayer · 18/04/2025 12:50

i used to buy my mum a few packets of candy from the old fashioned candy shop

Shocking 😆

I don’t eat chocolate but would love a bunch of tulips instead.

flyoverstate · 18/04/2025 12:55

My MIL likes marzipan.

Aparecium · 18/04/2025 12:57

Or how about almond dragees, like people do for wedding favours? They are vaguely egg-shaped.

(Clinging on here to rational problem-solving, while trying to come to terms with the existence of people who do not like chocolate. Or cheese.)

Socks

Aparecium · 18/04/2025 13:16

But you can't eat socks.

AbigailisPartiedOut · 18/04/2025 13:22

I used to get book tokens. I love reading and don't really like chocolate. One year I had a cheese egg but as one doesn't eat cheese either that's not much help!

whatsinanameeh · 18/04/2025 13:27

Cake? Simmel cake traditionally, it's a fruit and marzipan cake so good for gifting.

Noperope · 18/04/2025 15:36

Some good suggestions here. I should have mentioned one of them is 14 so a bunch of flowers won't really work! There really is a gap in the market if none of the sweet manufacturers make non chocolate Easter sweets 😋

I do not have a sweet tooth and do not agree with food being used as a "treat". It is not, it is fuel for your body.
I would be happy with some lovely flowers.

Jane958 · 18/04/2025 16:48

Just saw there is a younger person.
Book or Molton Brown Templetree shower gel.

pizzaHeart · 18/04/2025 16:53

Easter flowers or bunny Lego set, soft toy, Easter style decoration for the room, nice pretty Easter style china, plant, seeds, voucher to bubble tea place or ice cream place.
If you want to give them something edible it could be fudge, cake or simnel type cupcakes, biscuits, brownies, marshmallows, macaroons.

If you have macaroons place near by you can get a set of different flavours which will look very pretty and special ( and expensive ☹️) or Aldi has small boxes as well near chilled desserts.

They are some mallow shaped lollies but more for younger kids.

Have seen egg shaped jelly sweets which are mixed with the fried egg sweets before

Samcro · 18/04/2025 16:59

I got mine some nice biscuits. They were very happy

inigomontoyahwillcox · 18/04/2025 17:49

DD hates chocolate. I used to do sweets but she’s not keen on those either. Now she’s older (16) she asks for make up or money. Ends up being a lot more expensive!
