Gift ideas for lovely neighbour

Hiya,

My lovely neighbour's birthday is next week. She has been so welcoming since we moved in a couple of years ago. She always picks up little gifts for our DC.

She's in her 70's, enjoys gardening, she's not a massive drinker.

She is always well put together, hair done, mascara and a bit of lippie.

I'm on maternity leave, so budget is £30 max.

Please hit me with your ideas.

TIA

Garden voucher? Afternoon Tea?

A lovely bunch of flowers and a couple of luxury bars of chocolate, or a homemade cake or good cake from a local bakery.

Or a rose bush.

A plant for the garden perhaps? Look over the fence to see if there is a particular plant she likes if you don’t know. You could always play it safe and get a garden centre voucher.

Flowers die quick so no point. Chocolate - does she have health issues/diabetes etc that would prevent her from having it?

Some nice hand cream (L’Occitane, Neal’s Yard, Body Shop, etc.)

A bird feeder is a great idea. I’m a bit younger than your neighbour but I love my garden and REALLY love making it welcoming for birds, bees and butterflies

Rose bush with a suitable name.

I'd invite her for afternoon tea and get the children involved making a cake or some scones.

No more 'stuff' she will have it all, a much nicer gift is your time and including her in something such as taking her out for a cream tea or inviting her round for lunch or afternoon tea.

I got my lovely neighbour of the same age an afternoon tea gift hamper. She absolutely loved it ❤
