How did you find your dream job ?

Pretty much as the title says. I'm looking for a new role, never really had a job I can say I loved - is there anything I'm missing. How did those of you who really love your jobs get them was it through agencies, direct with the company, Indeed etc... It's admin type roles I'm looking for probably mid level. I'm looking for some inspiration, thanks.

IME a job you love is normally made by the people you work with - it’s a pot luck in the respect.

The job I’m in at the moment is the best job I’ve had for that - some of the factors that influence that is that I work locally now and so do most of my colleagues so socialising is easier.

I applied directly on a whim - actually, on a train coming home from work an hour and a half commute away.

I see a lot of job applications in my role - the best ones, that we’ll always interview and quite often appoint are the ones that have had time spent on them - good SPaG, something about the company to show it’s not a generic application and some personality shining through but not loads on why they want the job to fit around with everything else in their life!

This is true about colleagues, would love to work local.
