Has anyone learnt to play using a keyboard - the musical type?

I'm a complete beginner and plan to learn via one of the online resources like Decplay or something similar.

Has anyone done this or can advise on the best sort of keyboard to buy.

Keyboards (unless verrrry expensive) are usually limiting. But if you need something portable, get full size 88 keys and weighted keys.
I started learning 2 years ago but after trying a few in a music place, I got a digital piano instead (a Roland).. feels like the real thing but takes up much less space and weight... they come up on FB marketplace very reasonably.
I'm a sporadic learner due to life getting in the way (plus I'm learning the Bass guitar ) but can genuinely recommend Musora for learning.... checkout Pianote on youtube (that;s the Piano branch)
I pay £23 a month and it includes piano, drums, guitar ...the tuition is excellent.
