Has anyone ever been to vegas and won a handbag? If so did you claim back the taxes you were charged on your winnings?
My friends currently there and she won,but they took 30% off her winnings in tax.

I have, yes! If your friend is British she shouldn’t have paid the tax - you can fill in an IRS exemption form but the casinos often make a fuss about it, but insist. As it sounds too late for that, I believe you can claim it back from the IRS if you’re not a US citizen, I’d have a look on their website, or the gambling sub on Reddit should have some advice. Congrats to your friend, it’s quite fun getting all the notes counted out into your hand 😁.
