Ideas for things to do inside with a 1 year old (we are both ill)

Running out of things to do with DD. We are both really not well. She isn't sleeping. We've read about 20 books, done the food shopping, been for a walk, played with puzzles etc. I'm running out of energy and ideas about what to do next.

I’m afraid to say that in such a case, CBeebies is your friend.

Do you have a large cardboard box? Put her in it with crayons and let her loose. Also works with stickers or just a handful of toys. My daughter used to love large boxes...

If you don’t mind mopping up, put some water in a big bowl or bucket on the kitchen floor and ask her to wash some toys. Kept mine entertained for ages.

Long afternoon bath and some telly

I was going to suggest lots of baths, with toys in the bath, or pots to pour and empty.

Indoor disco if s/he has the energy? You can watch/film on your phone
Telly.
Snuggle up with books.
Drape a blanket over the table and make a den, with cushions and a few toys inside.
Make a set of skittles out of empty plastic bottles. Use a ball to try to knock them down.
Washing up bowl with items to watch up . . . .

Best of luck

This worked it was brilliant! Thank you.
Dirt and a bucket and some kiddy garden tools also worked a treat!!
