Depends what job you do. admin/clerical, retail and hospitality have all seen a huge drop in open vacancy numbers over the last 12 months. Chartered engineers, scientists, medical - the job market is booming.

I think there is a thread a little way back in the Work section with a similar question. I would be interested to know where there are decent jobs and what industries - and I guess what sort of jobs. If I have to retrain at this stage in my life, I need to have a clue what is worth retraining in.
