Hi all.
Can someone who has been in similar situation share their experience.
Package holiday to Rhodes tomorrow, booking through Tui but the flight will be with easy jet.
Not confirmed, but looking likely flight will be cancelled due to union strike in Greece tomorrow which includes air traffic control strikes.

Would Tui refund the holiday or get us on next available flight even though that might be days later and we will miss x amount of days of holiday?
I have been lucky and never experienced anything like this and can’t get through on Tui phone lines for advice.

is there anything in your travel insurance? They should fund new flights if the ones booked are cancelled

I haven’t looked at my insurance policy on this yet. Naively assuming it will be sorted by Tui?

I’ve had travel insurance cover the cost of new flights when ours were cancelled,

But it wasn’t due to a strike and didn’t impact our holiday as luckily got flights later the same day in our case. So I’d probably contact your travel insurer for advice

Different airline, but this happened to my husband last month and they offered him a flight on the following day.

Tui have always sorted things out for us and paid for everything.
