London “nice restaurants” with kids

Hi there, knowledgeable ones! We’re having a few days in London over Easter break. Haven’t been since pre- Covid and never with my girls so very excited for a nice time! Unfortunately a lot of our old couple restaurant haunts have shut down now so we’re looking for some lovely places to go that have nice food, preferably not chains and will be good for a well behaved 4yo and 13yo. We love great food but appreciate the Michelin places are out but don’t want to end up in really mediocre places either. As a family we like most food, not big fans of Japanese or Greek. Any recommendations? It doesn’t need a kids menu as kids are adventurous with food but it does need to be somewhere where kids aren’t out of place. Staying near tower bridge but anywhere in central London is doable

I personally like Coppa Club at Tower Bridge, but that is a (small) chain, so might not be your thing.

What about somewhere like Brasserie Zedel, the Wolseley or the Delaunay ? I think a brasserie style grand cafe is very relaxed to be with kids and has a wide variety of food. They feel very buzzy and central London.

We enjoyed the Ivy Victoria - and there was a pre-teen there at the time (didn't see a 4yo though)

Thanks so much everyone- sorry, not against small chains, more that I don’t want to end up somewhere like Nando’s we could go to at home

@abricotine has some great suggestions. My DC loves The Wolseley and Brasserie Zédel.

Also check out some of the restaurants at Borough Market. Everything there from traditional British / steak places (Roast) to pasta (am a fan of Bancone) to plant-based (Mallow is good).
