Please recommend me a phone phone

I am technically rubbish but just need a good android phone. I have a Motorola G60S that has done nothing but freeze and keep resetting. I don’t have many apps and don’t down load things. Any recommendations for a phone that would suit a pensioner - it’s just for quick messages and able to use when out and about.
i do use my iPad a lot in the house but can’t afford an iPhone.

Honestly I'd go to Tesco or Asda (Any supermarket) and buy whatever cheap smartphone they have, for example https://www.tesco.com/phones/products/04894461987392

It has pretty good specs for the price and will do everything you need.

No point spending £400+ on a Samsung or Pixel which does exactly the same as above. I have the Pixel 8, it cost me almost £700 and that one from Tesco isn't much different in terms of spec and features, I'd also recommend TCL as a brand.

Music magpie are good for second hand iPhones we got my 80yr mum one as she also liked her iPad so the interface is the same.
