I have to do a fun activity for five of us tomorrow morning. Anyone got any easy ideas?

This is not my favourite thing to have to do

Chat GpT is your friend here!

Ask it for a quiz about your local area/county/field of work?
Or an ice breaker

posted too soon! I quite like the activity where you have a bingo card which says stuff like “has been new zealand”, “left handed”, “twin” and you have to find people in the room who meet those requirements. It’s good for getting a lot of people talking.

Emoji quiz?

This is what ChatGPT suggested Here are some fun icebreaker activities that can help colleagues connect in a light-hearted way:

  1. Two Truths and a Lie: Each person says three statements about themselves—two true and one false. The others try to guess which one is the lie.
  2. Speed Networking: Set a timer for 3-5 minutes, and pair colleagues up to chat briefly about non-work topics. After the timer goes off, they switch partners and repeat.
  3. Would You Rather: Ask fun or quirky “Would you rather” questions. For example, “Would you rather have a pet dinosaur or be able to fly?”
  4. Human Bingo: Create bingo cards with random traits or experiences (e.g., “Has traveled to Asia” or “Can speak three languages”). Colleagues must find others who match the traits and fill in their bingo cards.
  5. Office Trivia: Create a trivia game about the company or workplace culture. It can be fun to test how much people know about their colleagues or office history.
  6. Guess Who?: Before the event, have everyone anonymously submit a fun fact about themselves. During the game, read out the facts and have people guess who the fact belongs to.
  7. Pictionary or Charades: Split into teams and play either game with work-related themes or random topics to get everyone laughing and bonding.
  8. Desert Island Scenario: Ask each person what three items they’d bring if stranded on a desert island and why. It sparks interesting discussions!
  9. The Emoji Story: Have everyone share a story about their weekend, but they can only use emojis. Others try to guess the story behind the emojis.
10. Work-Related Show and Tell: Have everyone bring an item related to their job or personal interests and explain why it’s significant to them.

These activities can create a relaxed, fun environment where colleagues can learn more about each other and bond in an informal setting.

Aha thanks. Pictionary, I'd forgotten about that, that is a good easy one to do.

Does anyone have any links to quizzes that they have done?

I'd go old school and do a chocolate quiz - go shopping and buy some chocolate bars (Mars, kit kat, milky way, lion bar, rolos, #random selection) ... unwrap them and photograph them, one photo per PowerPoint slide, each slide numbered - and get them to guess what they are called. Winner with the highest number of correct guesses gets an easter egg or something. (Don't forget to put a random odd one in though - a frys bar or something)

Bonus is you get to keep and eat the chocolate.
