What do you put in your grain/buddha bowls?

I’ve been craving salads and grain bowls lately and wondered what others put in theirs. Any combinations or ingredients that you particularly like?

TIA

I don't know if this is sort of what you mean, but I have couscous, dried cranberries, mixed seeds, rocket, bashed up almonds (technical term, of course!), figs and chopped cherry tomatoes.

I got fed up of traditional salads so have been doing variations on the above.

You’ve just inspired me to roast some vegetables to make grain bowls for dinner this week @BlueberryGreenTea. I just need to figure out a dressing to mix up too.

BTW @BlueberryGreenTea Eating Well magazine has a lot of great recipes and ideas for grain bowls https://www.eatingwell.com/search?q=Grain+bowl

Ooo I’m following this! When I worked in an office the canteen did gorgeous grain bowls. I’d love to replicate them but when I try they just taste ‘bland’

Thanks all. I’m grateful for the suggestions/links.

Aside from veggies, I put barley, millet, quinoa, bulgur if I want to change it up a bit from rice and noodles.

Its all about dressing. 😊

I had a green chef one recently that had spicy chipotle bulgar wheat, broccoli with lime juice, Mexican pulled chicken and kefir.. it was delicious

I cook quinoa in chicken stock which makes it tasty, then mix with spinach leaves, cubed cooked beetroot (not pickled), smoked mackerel , and then cubed cucumber, celery and whatever else I have (tomatoes, seeds, grated courgette and/or carrot, with a little bit of simple dressing of red wine vinegar, olive oil and herbs. The quinoa and mackerel just sits in the fridge and I add the fresh bits each morning as I prefer it crunchy. It only takes 5 minutes for one portion.
