My DC took me out for lunch at my favourite restaurant. I enjoyed it a lot

DS got me a jellycat, a cookbook I wanted, some chocolates and a homemade card. He also took me to lunch, and then for a walk and some cake at our favourite NT place.

** the asterisk here is he’s 5, the money in his wallet for all of this was added by me. And it was all heavily, exaggeratedly prompted and spearheaded by me 😂 But it was a lot of fun and our tradition now!

I got a hug from 1. Quick message from 2. Dh made slightly more fuss of me vocally but no presents or cards.

They both made me lovely cards and bought me flowers.

Primary age.

Very happy with that

Teen DDs: one gave me a beautiful, handmade card; the other gave me a box of chocolates. I am very pleased. I wasn't sure whether they knew Mothering Sunday was imminent and they don't have their dad anymore to remind them.

I got a hug and a messsge. I was away (watching DC2 play sport) and apparently flowers will come during the week…

My 6 yr old made me a card at school, and bought me a very cute one at a craft event last weekend. She also gave me a "best Mummy in the world" coaster that she saw when we were shopping last weekend and asked DH to buy without me seeing. She also gave me some of her chocolate buttons out of her chocolate stash and made me a menu of choices for breakfast that DH then helped her put together.

Due to timing of events we were out at other things most of the morning and then she was at a party in the afternoon so DH then treated me to a take-away and a nice bottle of wine.

I also got lots of random kisses and cuddles all day! She made me feel very loved bless her.

I got breakfast in bed.

A hug from my dd (who is autistic, so hugs are tough for her) which meant the world.

One of my adult dc came over at the weekend to have a sleepover with teen dd, she needs checked on constantly through the night due to a health condition, so I had the gift of a whole night's sleep there.

I also got a lovely clock I had my eye on, PJs, socks, a cup, my teens got us all matching necklaces, a couple of little sentimental things about their childhoods too. I was very, very spoiled.

Card and chocolates. Tbh what I love is that he writes a really personal message in the card. Made me very goofily happy.

Karatema · 31/03/2025 16:58

I was given breakfast in bed by my DGC (5 and 9). One DC sent me a message at 3 am and the other gave me bath goodies when they, and their spouse, arrived home from their night away.

They bought me flowers and a card. They’re in their 20s.

SpringHasSprungg · 31/03/2025 17:18

They are in their 20’s and 30’s and gave me cards and candles. I am in my 50’s and visited my DM with a card and chocolates.

MooseAndSquirrelLoveFlannel · 31/03/2025 17:19

Card and chocolates. I was poorly and DH was working so they pretty much just looked after themselves whilst I went back to bed.

PandaG · 31/03/2025 17:22

Both adult DC ensured cards arrived early, before DH and I left to go on holiday. Pretty sure there will be a home cooked meal and flowers when DC come.home for a few days nearer Easter. Cards on time, with lovely words, made me very happy.
