Have a look at Sophie Ellis Bextor's Kitchen Disco on BBC sounds. She plays some great songs on there. You can always just look at the playlists from episodes and then make your own from that.

I'm not... Dancing Queen is a real floor filler. I'm having it played at my funeral. Most of the songs I was going to mention have been listed.

minnienono · 01/04/2025 08:33

@TheTecknician

not heard of any of those.

abba is the ultimate floor filler, all ages. otherwise for me it’s Brit pop, 80’s stuff like tainted love and Enola gay, the jam, blonde, early 00’s artists like the killers, stereophonics, kings of Leon. And a complete absence of dance music and r’n’b can’t stand it

TheTecknician · 01/04/2025 08:35

Most of my selections are 1960s and 70s so may not be familiar to many on here.

Freysimo · 01/04/2025 08:43

Come On Eileen, Dexy's. I've told DH if I'm on deathbed and this doesn't get me up dancing, I'm already gone!

ConnieHeart · 01/04/2025 08:47

Live it Up - Mental As Anything
You Get What You Give - New Radicals
Locked Out of Heaven - Bruno Mars

TheTecknician · 01/04/2025 21:24

Disclaimer for avoidance of doubt. I do not dance. I'm just aware of what works for those who do.

@Abbadab Are any of these songs useful for your purposes ?
