Hi, ds is Autistic, do I need to claim carers allowance to be able to get free admission for myself ?

Why not contact them and ask for clarity?

I have always done so when it’s not very clear and found the places that are genuinely interested in being accessible will respond and be helpful.

DLA is one of the accepted proofs in the link above so is fine by itself.

You don't need to claim carers (many parents work too much to claim carers but still are carers if you see what I mean)

It might be worth looking into the credibility access card as you can just use that instead of showing dla each time, although you have to show need for a carer above a parent.

Yes most discounts will be linked to the person with the disability as it is them that needs the carer. So they have the card and an adult/carer can get in free with them.
