Sandpits are just fucking rank?????

I have nothing profound to say other than I think sandpits are the most overrated form of outdoor play there is. The sand getting tracked in the house, the watery sandy soup kids love the make, the sort of unpleasant smell of it as it gets old and then you need change the sand and it's so heavy????

Prompted because I've just had to empty the sandpit as the lid blew off and I'm sure a cat has pissed in there...🤢 Awful stuff

ours is really clean. We have had it 4 years

I buy cat/ dog sandpit sand which is fragrance with lavender or something to stop them. Just from local b and q equivalent for about €3 a bag so bargain

And we have a decent lid. It’s all plastic from step2 so thick study stuff, with base and lid. Looks as new. Lid keeps everything dry and clean.

Sandpits are great outdoor fun for kids. You need to make sure the lid is secure though, otherwise cats will think you've kindly installed a giant toilet just for them.
