Vinted: ‘Auto-feedback: Sale not completed’ reviews - meaning?

As per the title, I’m looking at buying something from someone who has a few of these mixed in with lots of five star reviews.

Does it mean the items weren’t sent out or does it also cover people who weren’t happy with what they received and who raised an issue?

It’s a bundle of collectible mini toys I’m looking at, which includes a quite rare one that my DC is after. I’m just a little paranoid that the ‘not completed’ ones might mean that there have been issues in the past and that they’ll send the bundle out minus this rare one. The five star reviews they have are for clothes.

I wish people would leave detailed negative reviews instead of leaving the system to auto review!

Thanks for any info.

I think it’s that the seller didn’t send the items. I would send them questions about the thing you want to buy and if you do buy it, film the parcel opening.

I find Vinted pretty good at refunding buyers if there is a problem, but I don’t spend anything on there that I can’t afford to lose.

I believe it means they weren't sent out within the 7 day window so Vinted automatically cancels the sale. I'd interpret the feedback as showing they're not a very reliable seller.

It means they didn’t send the item in time so Vinted cancelled it. Or maybe they couldn’t find the item to send out to the buyer. I’ve had this before. I assumed I had taken it to the charity shop as it had been listed for a long time and had forgotten to delist it. However I found the item yesterday when I was having a clear out. It can be easily done, especially if you have a lot of items listed.

Vinted give sellers a reasonable amount of time to package the item and send it. If the seller found in that timeframe, they no longer had the item (they'd taken it to a charity shop for example) or there is an issue, I'd expect them to contact the buyer before the timeframe ended. If there's auto feedback sale not completed - it means the seller didn't contact the buyer or cancel the order but just didn't bother sending the item and waited for Vinted to do something. I personally wouldn't purchase from someone who has a lot of these, it shows they are unreliable, and aren't proactive in contacting buyers or managing their sales.

Usually it is because the seller did not send the item but sometimes it can be down to other issues. I received the same auto generated feedback despite sending the item to the buyer and she even confirmed receiving her parcel. Evri tracking didn't update because of a glitch and despite me contacting Vinted the bots refused to remove it. I had to reload the item onto the platform again, the buyer had to repurchase then Vinted manually marked it as delivered so I could receive my money. I did reply to the auto feedback but it's still there.

Thank you all. I’ll think I’ll take my chances then. It’s only around £20 and if it isn’t sent out it will be disappointing but I’ll get my money back. If it does arrive I will film the opening as advised by a pp. It was only listed last night so it shouldn’t be a case of not being able to find it to send out!
