Anyone bought varifocals online?

Any places you'd recommend or avoid?

I believe varifocals can come in a range of field of vision- the cheapest only providing a narrow field at the bottom, then wider as you go up in price. Are the online ones on the very narrow field of vision? I can't even see the option to choose.

I bought a pair of varifocals online from glasses direct and they were fine, they had different grades of lens to choose from and I went for the most expensive. I do have a very straightforward forward prescription with only minimal astigmatism. I wouldn’t do it with a more complex prescription

Yes and I regret it. Glasses Direct I think. I find them difficult to read with for long and end up using a pair of Poundland +3 reading glasses.

Thanks both. Another thread mentioned good things about Glasses Direct, but I assume they were single lenses only, not varifocals. I'm happy to get them from a high street optician, but I hate all the sales chat, trying to upsell etc.
