I'm just drinking my first cuppa, in my kitchen spot. The kittens have been fed & are now bouncing about the house like loons 🤣. And both girls are up! So it's not at all peaceful.

Dd2's gone to get dressed, before she does "something productive" - not a clue what that will be, maybe her homework. Dd1's getting ready for work, she needs to leave in just under an hour, possibly earlier if she needs tights.

I'm planning a very gentle day of pottering after helping a colleague start to revamp a huge, unused apart from junk storage, shed at work yesterday. We're turning it into a reading/drawing/construction space for the children & it looks ace so far. I'm knackered today though 💤

I'll get on top of the washing, sort out a return of some boots that don't fit dd2, send a Vinted parcel, and probably start painting some peg dolls. I might also list some things on Vinted and print some photo's for dd1's year of gigs scrap book 🤔.

Later on I'll cook something quick and easy for tonight, and probably have another super early night.

Your work project sounds fab, hopefully you'll create a lovely space for the children. I'm still in bed, relaxing after a busy week in work. I had a cup of tea brought to me in bed, and currently have my 2 cats (brother and sister) cwtched in to me. I'm going to get up shortly and get on with the washing, tidying, food shopping today etc, so we can have a relaxing evening. I'm hoping for a walk tomorrow in the morning, before making a roast. I've invited my parents over for mothers day dinner.

Just had my 2nd brew and I’m debating a 3rd. Washing about to go in the machine, first load of a good few I think as I’ve been pretty slack with laundry this week. I have an hours work to do and then will nip into town to get Mother’s Day cards for my mom and step mom. Also need to return a parcel that’s been sitting in my hallway for days! Dp will probably take the kids to get mine too as I doubt he’s had chance in the week. It’s been a full on work week for us both!

Either fajitas cooked by dp or an Indian takeaway for dinner tonight. Will see what he decides as I’m not having anything to do with cooking tonight, I do enough of it during the week will have a couple of drinks tonight too.

Looking forward to seeing family tomorrow.

I need to get up as am working today. This involves setting up and manning a promotional stand probably in the pissing rain all afternoon! What fun.

Good morning @lucysmam et al, it’s a beautiful sunny morning here and a tad frosty. I’m enjoying toast and marmite with my coffee after walking ZD1 with my neighbours.
ZD2 is snoring away by my side, DH is sorting out the overfilled recycling bin, stamping on cans and cutting up the cardboard, filling the log basket etc and all’s well here.
Later we’re taking the dogs to the next village for a long walk, perhaps we’ll have a coffee while we’re out.
Nothing else planned for today, let’s see how it goes 🌻

My little girl is under the weather so we were meant to be doing some mother's day activities this weekend but that's been postponed to next weekend not sure what that was 😆

Plenty of coffee blankets and paddington bear here today.

I'm going out with my daughter and grandsons.

Lazy day today, DD was sick yesterday and seems recovered today but still want to take it easy. DH has left for work, DS is pootling around with toys watching Teletubbies and DD is playing with kinetic sand (had never felt it before until recently- it’s AMAZING, I could sit and squish it all day!)

Going to pop out later for a click and collect shop and to get a card for my mum. Baths for kids and pizza for tea :)

Good morning Lucysmam and others. The weather in central Scotland is a bit iffy: cloudy, cold but not windy. Your day sounds quietly productive Lucysmam.
I had two coffees and a slice of toast earlier. Then washed woollens. I've fitted in a trip to Aldi where I spent more than I bargained for. Food has been put away and I've had a cuppa and another slice of toast.
Today I'm going out for a pre - mother's day lunch with dd, Dsil and his mum. I'm being picked up too which means a lunchtime glass of wine followed by an afternoon snooze. Enjoy your day all

It’s a lovely sunny day here and for the first Saturday in 4 bloody weeks I’m able to get out of bed and enjoy it!
Going for a walk and lunch with a friend and then having dinner with my sister tonight.
just had a shower; about to chuck on a load of washing and then tackle my hair.

Currently got my feet up in a sun filled room, eating my toast and marmite, third coffee of the day, Tony Blackburn’s Sounds Of The 60s on in the background, watching the birds feeding in the garden. Bliss.

DH at work. I’ll load the machines up later, do a bit of office work for our business, and leisurely get ready for the rest of the day.
Football this afternoon and a wine or two with cheese tonight.

Good morning @lucysmam and the Saturday morning gang. I'm currently at the hairdresser, with my hair covered in hair dye. About to have a cappuccino and a biscuit, courtesy of my hairdresser. I'll go home afterwards and do a quick cleanup in the kitchen. I"ve to go to an anniversary mass for my Mam this evening. Some of my family will be there and we'll probably get a Chinese take away afterwards.

Spent half an hour on the beach with my first cup of tea. Now sat here drinking my fourth cup. Just about to go get ready for shopping and lunch trip with a friend.

H and youngster left at the crack of dawn it felt like to run around a field with a ball for a bit. It's fun apparently!

So I made coffee because I am dead nice! then but need to make some more now.
Then we have a broken bicycle to pick up and mend. And usual teens around.
Have all school laundry outstanding so getting on with that and just put flour in the breadmaker so 3 hours until bacon sandwiches can be made! Might have to heat up some hash browns instead, will see what time they get back.

Will shortly be learning some GCSE Spanish and god knows what else, at the stage need to look at the real timetable now. Fucking hell! Still a lovely sunny weekend/week ahead, trying not to spend any cash as taking them to London for a couple of days in Easter holidays and London is always nice and expensive.

School project sounds great and will be so satisfying, will need lots of crocheted seasonable decorations mind @lucysmam :-)

Ddog is being dropped off to family. Dcats have a cat sitter coming in.

Main car has just boke down this morning so trying not to panic and will use my tiny car to transport us all and luggage to airport 🙈😂

DH at work and then off to football so I've got the day to myself.

Had a nice bath earlier and just finished tea and toast. Off for a pedicure - at least I won't look as stupid wearing flip flops today as I did last time I went on a freezing raining December day!

Will keep half an eye on the eclipse as I go, although I will not be carrying a colander down the road 😄

Then a quiet afternoon and evening with control of the remote!

Have just finished the kitchen and emptied dishwasher. One load of washing line dried and already put away. Out for dinner tonight with friends. Tried to go to this place last summer with YD, but they turned us away. OH has his work trousers on and is weed killing in the garden. They grow so fast in Cyprus, despite the lack of rain this year. Need to shower, and might get the hoover out. Or might not.

Good morning all. Pretty dreich here today. Dropped DS off at cub camp last night so it's very quiet here. We're going to have a weekend of uninterrupted admin and chores, which sounds dull but it's much needed, and to be able to properly focus on a single thing at a time is a great luxury in my life! We've got the dreaded HMIE in my department next week so I'm also going to take some time to relax so I'm ready for that. Might do a bath and crafternoon, then fish tacos for dinner.

Morning everyone. I’m currently on the train heading oop north for a long weekend. The intention is to do some walking, eat some nice food, see some nice art and maybe buy some nice fabric!

I’ve taken DS to the hairdresser. He’s now out with DH getting Mothering Sunday stuff.

We’re going to have bacon hot cross buns for breakfast when they get back. After that we’re cycling up an historical attraction. Rabbit for supper.

I’ve had my tea, coffee and breakfast

I’ve been making a rye sourdough bread from the starter I made a few days ago. It’s a pfaff but I’m hoping the results will be worth it if I get the exact type of loaf I’m after.

I’m pottering about as DS home from uni later

DD A Level art prep stuff is all over the living room so trying to navigate it all.

will do some yoga later and bake some banana bread as have left over bananas

I woke up at 6am - ridiculously early for a Saturday and couldn't get back to sleep, which was irritating.

I've been for a lovely sunny run (and download of teenager and husband woes) with my friend and am sitting with a cup of coffee in peace for now, as Dh and ds2 have gone out (to get me something for Mother's Day I suspect 😊)

The plan for today is gardening, possibly a walk out and coffee somewhere with Dh later, helping ds2 get started on English language revision, (which is currently a disaster but it's the one subject I can actually help him with as long as he lets me) then some kind of Moroccan chicken tagine for dinner, ds2's gf is round, and a chilled evening.

Been up ages but only managed to get on here just now.

Had my first cuppa and did my puzzles. Second cuppa with toast. Emptied the dishwasher and DH did a shopping list for me to nip out to get a few things for a recipe we are doing tonight as having friends over for dinner. Got dressed and put some washing on and nipped to Waitrose. DH is marinating the pork in quince paste and pomegranate juice - hope it’s nice as I picked the recipe!

Once he is done (and out of my way) I will have a coffee. Then I want to wash the dining area floor and vacuum and dust the sitting area.

Might try and fit in a walk as it’s beautiful here. Or I may do some bits in the garden.

Dinner is pork fillet in quince and pomegranate, feta and honey roast potatoes, roasted Mediterranean veg and some broccolini and green beans. And wine. And cheese and biscuits.

DH has just commented that the recipe is not as easy as he thought so I’d better go and help!

Morning! I'm currently in bed with a cup of tea. Just put my first wash out on the line and second in the machine. Visiting dogs have been playing in the garden so I'm hoping we can now all chill out cos I'm a bit hungover 😆
