Finger prick blood sugar level

Does anyone know what is considered normal? I had it taken as part of an emergency admission and it was 6.5. I feel like I thought it should be lower? I had recently had apple juice.

That is a completely normal glucose level, especially after apple juice

Between 4 and 7 is classed as normal.
