Narrow fit walking shoes

Need to get some new walking shoes. I have very narrow heels. To complicate things further I have big feet so usually have to buy mens. Anyone know which brands come up narrow please?

I have some Scarpa Terra boots and they are so comfy. Would definitely recommend trying those

I'd recommend Columbia for narrow feet. Not sure about the men's sizes though.

I found Cotswold outdoor were very good at fitting boots to my foot shape - they did lots of measurements, went out back, and brought out two of the best fitting pairs of boots I’ve ever tried on. If you can get to one, I would recommend it.

I've terribly narrow feet, size seven and also loving my Scarpas!

This is really interesting because my uncle has really really wide feet and also has scarpa walking boots - must depend on the type!

I have narrow AA feet and have struggled for years to find anything until a small independent store sold me NNormal shoes. Very impressed. Expensive but a well fitting shoe is worth it’s weight in gold.

Try Decathlon, bought mine there but they are too narrow so I am back in Karrimores.

If you're feeling flush, Altbetg do five width fittings and custom fit walking boots,

Altberg

If you go to their factory in N Yorks they can fit you to their best fit off the peg size, or take measurements for custom boots.

.... but failing that, go to a good outdoor shop and try several pairs on. The boot room staff should be able to show you how to lace your boots to fit differently. They'll know which brands fit narrow feet etc and be able to advise on insoles etc to adjust fit.

Start with Italian made boots - Salamon is a good place to start.
