So far I’ve loved

project hail mary
Last man standing
Both Issac Steele books
The extinction trials
hitchhikers guide to the galaxy

Didn’t mind ‘the woman who went to bed for a year’ but it was a bit meh.

I’m feeling down and need something to take my mind off things.

Do you have any recommendations?
Something funny would be nice if you can think of anything

Oh and the signal was pretty good, narrated with a full cast including Paget Brewster

Any recommendations before I waste my credit on something terrible? 😬

I’ve just listened to The Change by Kirsten Miller. Slightly mad book but I loved it. Some mystery/crime but basically about some very strong women of a certain age and not being messed about. Definitely took my stress levels down!

Lisa Jewell none of this is true, best thing I’ve listened to on audible, brilliantly done

Hugh Laurie reading Three Men in a Boat- perfect combination of reader and book.

I loved Janey godleys books. One is her autobiography and one is a fictional book. She narrates both and I loved them

If you don’t know her she was a Scottish comedian who had experienced abuse as a child. Sadly she died very recently of a terrible cancer but her books live on. Very well written and funny as well as sad.

I’m going to start this immediately. I very rarely find audiobooks that keep my interest. So I’m excited to try this. Off to listen now

Reading with interest as I am also after new recommendations having just blitzed everything by LJ Ross. I can highly recommend them. DCI Ryan series (25 books I think) Dr Alex Gregory (3 books) and a few Cornish mysteries.
Currently feeling bereft 😒

Cotillion by Georgette Heyer. An amusing regency romance with a Bertie Wooster like hero. Thoroughly enjoyable fluff.
