Do I need to do another call to the police ?

I had a restraining order to stop my ex coming near me 10 years ago that has expired.

I have not heard from him for years but last night he called me from a withheld number and made threats to my partner and said he would come round and hurt us.

we called 999 who were not interested and 101 who just said to call 999 if he turns up.

I used to have a flag on my number so they knew the risk if I call 999. I don’t know if this is still there and I have now moved house.

Do I need to call the police and make a statement etc or will the calls last night be enough ? It took me a couple of years to get a restraining order the first time so know it can be a long process and I am devastated this is happening again after all these years and can’t think straight.

Thank you will report it just trying to work up the courage to deal with it. It’s brought up a lot of issues as was a very traumatic time in my life I thought was over for good.

So I did an online report and they rang me within a few hours.
The police have been very proactive and it seems they are so much better at dealing with this type of thing than they were a few years ago. They asked all sorts of things and about the impact on me and my children (who are both far away at uni and doing really well thankfully)

I am just hoping that me involving the police does not antagonise him. It is so horrible as I feel scared again.
