I'm a grown woman in a long term relationship with 2 children obviously I'm having sex just like most other adults on this planet . So why do I get so awkward talking to a dr about it. I had an appointment today with my dr which we discussed sex and even just saying the word I could feel myself burning up and I don't think i looked him in the eye the whole appointment. Please tell me this is normal and I didn't just completely embarrass myself acting so awkward and embarrassed in front of him.

Completely normal.

He's not your best friend, your sister or your husband so of course it's awkward.

I found these things less awkward once I got into about my mid forties, God knows why it took that long 🤣

of course it’s normal; we are not used to talking to men we don’t know about our sex lives and he is a man as well as a doctor. I always see a female if I can .

I'm the same. I also wouldn't talk to friends about it either, it's silly really since we all do it. I still can't cope with the idea that my parents did it!

A friend of mine who was married and planned a baby in her 30s said she got embarrassed telling her Dad she was pregnant because then he'd know for sure she had sex. She said she knew it was the dumbest thing ever but I know exactly what she means!
