Could I have recommendations for type, brand and where you get it from please?

Magnesium Glycinate here, from Amazon. I was using Barefoot Nutrition, but last time I ordered it was out of stock so I got Inner Vitality. I don't know if it's the power of suggestion, but now I hardly ever lie awake till 3am and almost never wake up for a couple of hours in the middle of the night.

I use the sweet Bee butter too @ThePoshUns - quite a relaxing way to wind down to bedtime I find.
I do seem to fall asleep okay but staying asleep is another matter!

Trinity69 · 24/03/2025 21:24

I get mine from Nutrtion Geeks. Really helpful with leg cramps. I still usually wake around 3am though.

You can always empty the capsules into a drink...I sometimes empty them into a Berrocca type drink.

Never thought to do that. I assume it dissolves quite quickly?

Happy4free · 24/03/2025 21:51

Magnesium glycinate from Nutri Advanced, I've used for a couple of years ans has been a game changer for my sleep!! Effect hasn't wore off it's actually worked the other way and I use less of it.
I feel so much better and so does my face from getting more sleep 😊

Cookielover64 · 24/03/2025 22:00

I get the nutrition geeks 3 in 1 from amazon, plus ashwaganda. Some nights I take L theanine too, but that gives me wild dreams.

stanleypops66 · 24/03/2025 22:01

I use magnetism glycinate. I think it helps. The brand is called Zipvit and can be got on Amazon.

Was literally about to post all this.

Why is it 3am... And I struggle to get back to sleep. 😳. Then up at 6. I am really struggling at the moment.

I’ve tried all the magnesium’s in various forms. The only thing that really works for me are Trip Dream CBD drops. They have been a revelation to me! Lifetime weird sleep here who has had bouts of full night insomnia and anxiety. These work!

TheChosenTwo · 24/03/2025 23:14

@Sadtosaythis i was looking at these earlier! Had a couple of the drinks the other evening and managed 4 hours before waking up which was amazing, I did get back off again an hour later which is also brilliant.
I think i’ll give the drops a go. Actually
now I’m thinking about it I’m sure I had some of these in a beauty box a couple of years ago, it sounds very familiar.

Definitely Magnesium glycinate

You would need at least 200-300mg so look out for hight strength. I just get mine online from Amazon or eBay around £10 for 3 month supply

GoldfinchesInTheTree · 25/03/2025 06:08

I'm using the nutrition geeks 3in 1 two tablets.

I'm also worried about magnesium build ip/long term overdosing. But hoping it will start working soon...

Ohyeahwaitaminute · 25/03/2025 06:18

If it’s sleep/ relaxation you’re after, Magnesium Glycinate is what you’re after.

Mag Citrate will have you on the loo at 3am!

tothelefttotheleft · 25/03/2025 12:26

@GoldfinchesInTheTree

I had no idea it could do that!

Not a clue! 3am it is though and then I keep laying there thinking about all the things I have to do (nothing important enough to justify thinking about it at 3am).
