Has anyone complained to council about neighbour noise?

Is there any point?

My NDN has an awful dog. A Belgian maliniois. Every time I go in my garden it’s there throwing itself at the fence barking. Trying to scale it. Running up the fence going ballistic. I have 6ft fencing plus a hedge so maybe 8ft. It’s also closed board so it can’t see us but it’s got a 6th sense if I step a toe out.

Ive spoken to them multiple times. They are very ineffective but do try and bring it in but it’s still happening multiple times a day. Every time they apologise and try training etc but it’s still doing it.

If I go to my car, or dare walk on my drive it’s there barking at me at the windows. They say they can’t help it as its very territorial and they do try but the dog is unfortunately horrid. They walk it muzzled at night because of the aggression.

My DC are now scared to play outside as the noise has frightened them. We have a dog of our own who’s also scared and runs inside as soon as next doors starts. Summer is going to be miserable!

The dog also barks in the house throughout the day which I can hear in my own house. It’s not for long periods of time though so I don’t think that’s an issue in terms of noise if I did report it even if it does wake my DC up regularly 😡

So if I go down the route of reporting it how can I prove it? Can I anonymously report it as a dangerous dog? Basically I want them to realise they need to get rid of it because they can not give it what they need but they think this is fixable. It isn’t is it?

I don’t want to argue with them but at the same time it’s infuriating that someone’s terrible selfish choice is ruining my peace. The ND husband is a defensive arse and isn’t easy to talk to. I can’t move due to financial reasons.

We have complained to council about neighbour noise.

she had parties every single night with random guys getting dropped off at the house at all times of day and night and she had 3 small children too. The noise was horrendous, loud music at all hours. People being sick in the front garden , fighting.umping on trampoline at 2/3am Etc

council antisocial team kept a log of everything for 6 :months. We and other neighbours had to log each noisy evening and she got an asbo and the landlord wouldn’t renew her rental. Worst 6 months of our lives. One lot of neighbours lived in a cheap hotel at the weekend as the noise was so bad then.

At the time I had a friend who worked in the local police , so a quick text to her and they did drive into the street to check it out.
