Selling a pushchair and carrycot on Vinted

Ive been trying to sell an Uppababy Vista pushchair and carrycot system for just over a week. It’s been listed on Facebook marketplace and various other Facebook selling groups. It’s also listed on EBay. I listed a double buggy at the same time as this one and the double buggy got loads of views (well over 100) and sold for the price I listed it for within a few days. By comparison this one hasn’t had much interest. It’s been on for a week now and I’ve knocked £50 off the price.

Im now wondering whether to try and sell it on Vinted which I have used to sell smaller items. But I’m not sure what to do about postage. Do I choose custom and if so how do I know how much I should price the postage at? Also can you only allow a specific delivery method for just one of your listings to stop someone from accidentally selecting an InPost locker for example?

Im starting to think if I can get past the postage issue that Vinted will enable me to reach more potential buyers.

I think you need to work out the postage issue before you list it.
it will need a box ideally.
I have put on listings don’t choose inpost as this won’t fit. There are size restrictions for evri, Royal Mail and yodel as well so make sure you check the measurements of the box.

You would have to look it up but recently they started a new service with yodel for bigger items, they pick the item up from your house etc. It is called yodel door to door and you can ship a parcel up to 30kg @Icanhearabee

You can choose which couriers to use by changing them in your settings so you can disable inpost or any you don't wish to use.

Make sure you parcel it up really well with loads of protection and use a box as if it gets damaged in transit vinted will blame you for not packaging it up properly and they will refund the buyer and you get nothing.

Take loads of photos of how it is packaged as proof in case there is an issue.

There are guides on how they expect a parcel to be sent (in a box) in the help centre along with all the information on couriers.

I think uppababys just don't really sell that well secondhand anymore 😕 I have one that I'm still using and I'm on the UK Uppababy fb group and hardly any of them seem to sell unless really really cheap. Its a shame as they are great buggies. I also see people trying to get way too much for them. Are you being realistic about price? In comparison, on the Out N About group I'm in, buggies sell within a day of being posted.

I listed it for £150 to begin with and it’s on for £100 now. I think the brand isn’t as well known in the UK. I will leave it another few days and will reduce it again. I didn’t realise there’s a Facebook page. I will take a look 😊
