Amazon Kindle - is there less choice these days?

Is it my imagination or are there fewer new books available on Kindle at the moment? It seems possible to have them on Audiobooks but not Kindle.

I think it’s your imagination TBH! Was there a particular book you wanted and can’t find?

ETA the new arrivals filter shows 143 books in the last 30 days

I think there are new ones appearing, but the older ones stay on the lists and you keep seeing them. There aren’t enough of the authors I enjoy, but I try to find new ones. Not always successfully though.

The Kindle Daily Deal seems to have the same books for days on end and then a couple of gems thrown in for one day.

Those 143 books will be all genres, so if you usually choose a couple of types, the choice is much reduced.

Theres more choice on Kindle Unlimited and they often do a deal of a free subscription for a couple of months. It’s easy to cancel so you don’t get charged.

Weird, in my experience the 8 or so books change daily, but there are 1000+ books in the other deals which stick around for a month or so.

That’s my experience too. The Daily deals do change every day as they should.

Maybe I have just been a bit unlucky then. I’m not chasing the Daily Deals but the books we read in our book group - the last two/three have not been on Kindle at any price, Elif Shafak and Joel Dicker

I’m not sure who decides about kindle rights - I know Harry Potter was on physical CD a long time before it was on audible (1999/2015)
