Anyone from Withernsea??

We're spending a week here in Easter holidays, I was hoping for recommendations for things to do please. Thank you

I'm in the process of buying a little holiday home on the Promenade. You are close to Hull and they have The Deep which is like a giant sealife centre. I know in the summer they have organised activities called a summer special.

Flamborough head has beautiful coastline to the north. Bempton cliffs if you like bird watching.

My childhood home.
You’re near some great open spaces for biking/ drives/ walks.
A day at Spurn is a must. The pub before the visitor centre is good for food and views. The visitor centres great too.
Chips on the prom.
Hull for the Deep and a wonder around the marina/ Humber st.
The Lighthouse has a museum, and you can walk up it.
Good Indian restaurant in town, and good pub style restaurant at a chalet park south end.
Burton Constable hall is near- has a whale skeleton that inspired Moby Dick.
Pretty cafe on the road to Hull with a super painted ceiling- Whitehall.

We love Withernsea!
The leisure centre is good with a slide in the swimming pool, the beach is lovely. Climb up to the top of the lighthouse. We also really like this park in Hull - we've spent hours there! www.liveithull.co.uk/parks/east-park

There's an arcade with a softplay and bowling, the library is nice, they so have a fb group with events: we have friends there and it's never quiet. There are parks around too.

The Deep at Hull is fantastic for kids of all ages and Flamborough lighthouse and the beach are one of mine and my LO's favourite places.

The house were staying in has a sold sign on next doors, it might be yours as we're on the promenade!

I'm buying number 16. I'm hoping to do some renovations, put in a new kitchen, paint back of house, fix front wall and paint and wallpaper throughout. Then I'll have fun buying the furniture. I can't wait. Hoping to have completed by end of May but we're on holiday in France that week so will hope to collect keys in June.

The fish and chips shop on the corner, it might be called the light house or lifeboat or similar.

See if there are doing "Spurn Safaris" from the visitor centre. They are really good fun interesting. Kinds need to be big enough not to need a car seat.

We're home now but we did this and it was fantastic, highlight of the week.
