Applying for jobs when you're still working

What's the etiquette if you have an interview but you still work at a different job?

Do you book a half day off? Do you just take the interview when you don't have calls and just make up the time after?

Depends on the vibe of your current place, are they quite flexible with the time of when you work and normally fine to make up later? Or are they strictly a 9-5, I’m currently doing interviews during the working day atm with no time off, as it’s a very flexible company, in others I’d have booked the time off.
