Not the most important thing in my life but I’ve got a brain worm. I’ve tried googling but it hasn’t been any help.
So, drama series, 95% sure it was BBC late 1980s or very early 90s.
plot was a company was being taken over in a multi million pound deal and two rival factions needed to find small shareholders and buy up their shares (I think it might have been a small printing company originally which turned over the years into a massive valuable company). This was the days of paper share certificates which had been inherited or forgotten about at the back of a drawer. The shares were worth a fortune (life changing money) and the plot centred on about 10 of the small shareholders and how it changed their lives. From memory one was a builder whose son had a rock band and he invested in a video for them and released a single.
I can’t remember who was in it except the leader of one of the factions trying to buy the shares was in his early 30s ish with blond hair
I don’t particularly want to watch it again but it’s just a brain worm driving me nuts
