35yo size 16/18 WTF to wear everyday clothes

Evening ladies.
having Abit of a rethink of my style. I usually wear day dresses etc but I’m sick of it. What do people my age and size wear everyday- also some ideas for smart casual would be really appreciated too.
I feel everyone looks fab but me and it’s getting me down Abit.

Just to add- I’m not a leggings and top person :)

Mom jeans. Shirt or t shirt. Gilet. Or pencil skirt, tights and blouse for work. Size 16 here. It’s tough to dress. Uniqlo have some great basics and M&S jeans are brilliant. I chucked all my leggings to stop me wearing them!

Thank you. The jeans and T-shirt are what I’ve been looking for but then I feel my mum Tums really obvious! I’ve had a look at the denim midi skirts with a T-shirt too for summer but I’m only 5ft4 not sure if it will make me look frumpy?

Wide leg jeans are great too! M&S so tall and short.
