It is so easy - wish I had started sooner

create you account and open app
click on the + button (think that’s it) to add an item sell
take photos
add details
add price (it suggests)
add postage size - small medium or large
thats it.

it will alert when people favourite it.

when it sells you just say you are ready to send and it gives you a barcode / label.

the only other thing to do is go into your account settings and remove postage types you don’t want to allow. I just removed Royal Mail as that’s a faff I for me. If you cannot print a label at home you would need to re mop be that opt ok n as well I think.

It’s very, very easy. And although there are flaky, difficult people on there the vast majority of my transactions have gone through fine.

Take detailed photos, including labels and be absolutely honest about the condition of things. Be realistic about the value of your second hand stuff.

Mostly you need patience, things can take a while to sell.

The PP has summed up the process. When listing the price on Vinted, I always list slightly higher than I want, because people can (and do) make lower offers. You can choose to accept, or make a counter offer.

Ime people want bargains on Vinted so I only use it as an alternative to taking things I no longer wear or use to a charity shop. Be very wary about selling anything designer or valuable. Also, if something looks too good to be true on there, e.g. cut price high end skin care then it very likely is fake. Make sure you follow the rules when selling as Vinted uses AI and chat bots for pretty much everything with some weird/unfair outcomes.

All that said, I've made a bit of money on there. Transfer money you make to your bank account asap.

Thank you everyone who has replied so far. Could you explain about the financial side, do I need to open a special account just for Vinted items?

No you just put your bank details in like any online shopping purchase and it will use that to draw/deposit funds into.

the first time you withdraw your profit from Vinted to your account it will want to verify you are a real person though!

Vinted has great faq pages that explain a lot of this with videos
