Facebook Marketplace Selling Advice

Evening all. I am trying very hard to have a good spring declutter. I have some things to sell but I’ve never used Facebook Marketplace.

Does anyone have some good tips on how to effectively use it please? Can people message me questions about the item without being my friend?
Do you feel safe giving out your address? Just so I don’t drip feed I am unable to post items hence thinking about using Marketplace.

Yes people can message you without being a friend , people will often sometimes try and negotiate the price when they turn up to collect the item so if you do not want to accept less than agreed over message make that clear before they come to collect. I only ever give out my address once a time has been agreed for collection. I have had a few attempted scammers over the years so only accept cash on collection. It can be a bit frustrating as sometimes people will arrange to collect something and then not turn up so don’t remove your listing until it has been collected
