Is child (under 16) DLA included in the proposed cuts

Sorry for yet another thread on the cuts, but I can’t seem to find much online on the subject, all I generally find is PIP and those out of work, but what about under 16 DLA payment, my 12 year old son has received DLA for a few years now, he is autistic, is his award potentially included in these cuts, or is it working age PIP claims

Very unlikely.

firstly there has been significant opposition to the cuts from within the Labour Party so they may not go ahead at all.

secondly the rational is that they don’t want people who are capable of work claiming disability. Anyone under 16 shouldn’t be working anyway. There’s been no briefing about DLA at all.
