What recipe did I buy radishes for?

I must have put them in my list for a reason but I can’t for the life of me think what! Very unlikely to be for cooked radishes though as I’ve done those before and I’m not a fan. Hit me with ideas to try and jog my memory.

Sliced radishes in Greek yogurt & dill.

They’re nice in a stir fry

Fattoush?

To make a crudite platter?

Or because you'd read somewhere that they are excellent for gut microbiome (thats the only reason i sometimes buy them)

Pickled to go in a poke bowl?

That's useful - because I have a jar of white miso paste and can't remember why I bought it! 😂

Hairy Bikers bang bang turkey, (or chicken)

AdaColeman · 16/03/2025 11:23

Bought just because you liked their colour when you saw them!

Hmm. None of those prick my memory but I suspect to pickle and have with a Chinese dish of some sort. The cucumber and dill salad sounds lovely though so I can do that too.

I did a sliced radish and cucumber ribbon salad yesterday, the dressing was a bit of olive oil, lime juice and a small amount of sugar. Very nice and helped calm down the fact I may have over chillied my Thai pork patties.

If you'd asked me a few years ago if I'd attack a cucumber with a potato peeler or even look at a radish, I'd have laughed but it's actually good.
