Where do ducks go when it's too cold?

Genuine question. Theres's a little pond near where I live in the city. I always wonder where the ducks go on a cold morning. I've never seen them anywhere BUT the pond, but they aren't there when it's too cold. So where are they? Please help my overactive brain so I can get some sleep 😅

Let me just ask them...

Actually I think they just huddle up by the side of the river. I live by a whole lotta ducks but I don't want to go down and check this time of night.

Ducks on your pond aren’t real. They are Chinese spy ducks. When it is cold, they are peering in your windows with their beady eyes like Feathers McGraw. Reporting back to HQ.

Either that or they have gone to the lemonade stand for some grapes.

Waddle waddle

I thought they went South for the winter, although not exactly sure what or where that is!!

They come onto MN, and get themselves into a little row...

In a row...🤣🤣🤣👍

They come on here and wait to be put in a row

I swim regularly in a river that has a few mallard that live there. When it gets cold they are probably having a kip protected by some bushes or similar from the wind. I swim all year round and the mallards by me certainly don’t migrate.

I've woken up still thinking about bloody ducks 🤦 the thing that gets me is this is an inner city pond. There really aren't many hiding places and there are so many dicks it makes me think they really are masters of disguise. I don't think these migrate either since they are here all year.
