Stolen wombat

What sort of person steals a baby wombat from its mother and leaves it in the road? The Australian prime minister has suggested that next time she tries to steal a baby crocodile!

It's a good thing she's left Australia. It's just a shame the States have to take her back! There is nowhere on this lovely planet of ours that deserves someone like her or her stupid friend with the phone, racketing about and upsetting other life-forms, whether it's wombats, humans or Madagascan hissing cockroaches. I hope they keep her out permanently and give him community service shovelling poop in a wildlife sanctuary somewhere.

ginasevern · 14/03/2025 12:42

I'm surprised the stupid bitch didn't shoot it. Isn't that what she mostly does?

dottydodah · 14/03/2025 12:46

Just when you think youve heard it all, along comes someone to prove you wrong! What an absolute bloody idiot.Hope she has learnt a lesson(but probably sadly not) they will do anything to get a like wont they .Lets hope poor mummy wombat recovers with baby

I felt so furious watching the clip-what has the world come to when taking a baby wombat from it's very distressed mother and film it whilst it cries is something ppl do for clicks and attention on line.
Such entitlement by the person who grabbed the baby-absolutely no decency or morals.
Imagine laughing whilst holding a sobbing terrified baby wombat.

I hope she gets the book thrown at her-charged etc to make an example.
Despicable!!!

BeeCucumber · 14/03/2025 13:01

What exactly does she influence? I’ve seen her sorry-not-sorry apology, claiming to be a professional and she’s learned her lesson. She is only sorry because of the backlash. I hope she quietly disappears to a life where she doesn’t hurt anyone or anything for “likes”.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 14/03/2025 13:01

The sound of distress coming from both mum and baby wombat whilst this stupid cowbag separated them and ran away was stomach droppingly horrible.

I hope she is now enjoying the notoriety she so craves. Wonder if she has a child one day and someone grabs it and bolts "for a moment" she'll see the lolz in that moment too.

Did love the PM suggesting she picked up a baby crocodile next time and see how that goes 😂

There are so many seriously poisonous animals in Australia....where were they all when they were needed?

Kuretake · 14/03/2025 13:25

She's an absolute piece of shit no doubt but the levels of outrage about this are ridiculous. You realise millions of animals are being treated 100 times worse every day in meat and dairy production? Including being taken from their distressed mothers (and not returned after a picture).

Why is an upset wombat mother so much more distressing to most people than an upset cow? I genuinely don't get it.

Workingonthehighway · 14/03/2025 13:32

What i love is the whole of Australia seemed to stand together chanying out out out to this vile human.

MsBucket · 14/03/2025 13:36

FeralWoman · 14/03/2025 11:30

Mum and baby were reunited immediately. Mum was ready to throw paws at the idiot. Hopefully baby didn’t die from stress. Marsupials can easily die from stress.

She also picked up a wild echidna. Moron. Leave it the fuck alone.

The person has left Australia now. Authorities were considering charging her with wildlife offences and animal cruelty and then deporting her.

I think I came across the clip recently on Reddit. I can’t remember which subreddit I first saw the clip on, but I’m pretty sure that it was a good few days ago. I’ve just read this article, I can’t believe that this “influencer” did not receive a fine. But I’m hoping that this will be a life lesson for her.

Baby wombat-snatching US influencer at risk of losing Australian visa

It’s not an either-or situation. This just happens to be something that happened fairly recently and it might make this “influencer”, and others like her, think twice before doing something like this in the future.

Just when you thought the world had reached peak dickhead, along came influencers.

And the brainless sheep who follow them 🐑

I have had to hide/mute all the stuff on this today and yesterday, it has really wound me up and upset me and made me really angry. Angry 😢

What a bloody stupid idiotic moronic piece of shit this young woman is. I hope she loses all her followers after this. Seriously, WTAF? That poor baby wombat, and her poor mother. 😢

I hope they are both OK now. ❤

This person's Instagram says 'for the truth about what happened with the baby wombat, see my official statement.' (She states she took it away 'for its safety!') Bollocks, we saw what happened, you took a baby wombat from its mother as you always wanted to hold a wombat! Vile!

.

Chuchoter · 14/03/2025 14:01

Apart from the poor wombat she is also a hunter. She killed a wild boar minding its own business with a knife and has also shot many other creatures for FUN.

People like her are a complete waste of oxygen.

Urgh, what a repugnant excuse for a human being! 😖

God I hate that.
This is a large part of the problem with society these days is that people seem unable (or unwilling) to own their wrongdoing. If she'd put a statement out stating a "lapse in judgement, she was sincerely sorry and would be making a donation to a wildlife charity" it wouldn't have excused what she did but at least shown some self reflection and remorse.

MsBucket · 14/03/2025 14:51

@AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta So it looks like she didn’t learn anything and is now doubling down from the safety of her own home instead of taking ownership of her own actions 😞. I’m also curious what her friend/camera person thought of the whole thing as they seemed more than happy to film the whole thing.

Exactly.

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 14/03/2025 15:05

@MsBucket wonder how long before she starts citing about her mental health and distress this is causing her. Whilst oblivious to the irony of the distress she caused these innocent creatures.

I was a bit surprised at the person behind the camera laughing away sounded like an Australian to me. Would have thought they'd know better, but then I guess there are native morons in every country.

Viviennemary · 14/03/2025 15:12

She needs to be kicked out the country. Laughing at an animals distress. Who does that.

JustFeedMeCake · 14/03/2025 15:26

Evil little bitch. I know what I’d like to happen to her. Not sure it would stay long before MN deleted it so best to not post it.

aspidernamedfluffy · 14/03/2025 15:39

Shame it wasn't a Tazzy Devil....the silly bitch would soon learn then.

EsmaCannonball · 14/03/2025 16:07

Laughing at the distress of the mother was just despicable. She is someone who gains pleasure out of causing misery to animals. She describes herself as a hunting influencer and yet she tried to sue PETA when they rejected her for a job. I guess she thought that would be easy money.

She's in no way going to suffer over this. She will go back to America and do several rage-baiting animal cruelty stunts and make a load of money by becoming a heroine of the Very Online Right. She will gain support purely because she is upsetting to the Woke Left. That's how pathetic things are these days.

Let's hope there's some kind of karma.

Coffeeishot · 14/03/2025 16:14

Assumingthebest · 14/03/2025 11:53

Apparently it is legal to kill wombats in Australia on private land, just saying. It's in the Guardian.

I think it varies from. State to state and they need a licence Wombats are protected species

TurtlesDoNotPetsMake · 14/03/2025 16:17

What was she thinking? Though I wish everyone would be as offended by the meat and dairy industry. We pay no mind when calves are removed from their mothers and killed. All for a pint of milk.
